The existence of Bigfoot is surrounded by numerous conspiracies though all are proven to be false. One claims that it is a government experiment, but it lacks concrete evidence (Log). Secondly, many have claimed to have heard the shrieks of Bigfoot (Pester and Radford). Still, the noises can often be attributed to known animals. Lastly, all sightings of Bigfoot have been proven false; people have admitted to faking the creature's prints, photos, and almost every other type of evidence of this creature(1). There is no concrete evidence that Bigfoot is real.
There is no possible way Bigfoot could be linked to the government, the FBI opened up a four-decade-old file to analyze a supposed Bigfoot hair sample(little). The FBI saw it as doing Peter Byrne, the director of the Bigfoot Information and Exhibition, a favor. “All it means is the FBI did a favor to a Bigfoot researcher,” Radford says, in examining the hair, and the sample turned out to be that of a deer(1). Opening back up the file and closing it four decades later was like firing a gun and it still smoking, it caused people to start believing that Bigfoot had to be real(1). Why would the FBI open back up a file and conduct a hair sample for a crazed Bigfoot believer then declassify the file? To add more to this unusual case 93-year-old Byrne, when the FBI released the Bigfoot file on July 5, 2019, Bayrne reacted as if it was the first time hearing it was the hair of a deer (1). Overall, no links could connect the government to the supposed Bigfoot.
There have been many claims of hearing the shriek of Bigfoot, but how would a person know what Bigfoot sounds like if there hadn’t been any actual footage of the beast (Pester and Radford)? In the woods, many animals make noises, so you will never know what you might be hearing(1). Experts may not always be able to determine what is being heard in most strange recordings, but cryptozoologists, or people who look for these rumored creatures, point to these as evidence that Bigfoot exists (1). However, there is no way to determine the animal in most of the vocal tapes, so it proves nothing about Bigfoot's existence(1). Grover Krantz, the late anthropologist listened to at least ten sound tapes that were linked to Bigfoot and said “no compelling reason to believe that any of them are what the recorders claimed them to be” (1). So, there, is no, real evidence of what Bigfoot sounds like.
Lastly, there have been many fake videos and images throughout history. Most of the “evidence” of Bigfoot has either been found out or been admitted to being false (Pester and Radford). An example of faked evidence would be Ray Wallace; his family revealed that he was responsible for the supposed Bigfoot prints near Bluff Creek in 1958, and it was revealed in 2002 by his kids after his passing (1). An earlier example would be more tracks laid by the late Rant Mullens, who was a logger in Toledo, Washington, in 1982 he and a friend admitted to carving large feet out with wood and laying fake tracks that built up on the legend of Bigfoot (1). To add, all photos and videos of the creature are extremely blurry and hard to make out, “Roger Patterson, who faked a video of Bigfoot and admitted to it, the husband and wife team who made and sold the Bigfoot costume that Patterson used to fake his movie have also confessed, and several other important eyewitnesses have come forth with corroborating evidence. the husband and wife team who made and sold the Bigfoot costume that Patterson used to fake his movie have also confessed, and several other important eyewitnesses have come forth with corroborating evidence” Kal Korff and Michaela Kocis stated (Korff and Kocis 36). Also, an Oklahoma lawmaker proposed a Bigfoot hunting season, showing that Oklahoma officials fed into this hoax to make money off of tourists that would come for the season and the annual Bigfoot festival (Pester and Radford). There are no videos or images of any sort to prove the existence of Bigfoot.
In conclusion, while the conspiracies of Bigfoot have caught the interest of many people, they all lack concrete evidence of the creature's existence. Also, no evidence could link this nonexistent creature to the Government, therefore it does not involve them. There is also nothing like vocal recordings, photos, or videos that are not fake, and therefore it is simply impossible for such an animal to just go unseen for so long, so there is no possible way Bigfoot exists.
